Insulate Your Duct Work |
||
| Tuesday, March 23 | United Power's Brighton Headquarters Office |
6-7 p.m. |
One major aspect of your home’s construction is wasting 20-30 percent of your heating and cooling dollars: your duct system. Ductwork, which carries conditioned air from your furnace or air conditioner throughout your home, is made of highly conductive sheet metal and is often located in unconditioned spaces like unfinished basements and crawlspaces. Due to the extreme temperatures in these locations 10-30 percent of the energy used to heat and cool the air in your home is lost through conduction. Duct insulation will save you 20-30 percent on your heating and cooling costs, improve discharge temperatures from registers by 10-15° and enhance the overall comfort of your home. United Power’s Energy Experts will send you home with the skills and knowledge to complete this project on your own. Dinner will be served. RSVP not required.
