The Zachary and Elizabeth Fisher House provides interim housing and support for the families of veterans and active military personnel, from out of town, who are receiving health care in Denver, Colorado and those receiving treatment at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Denver. It is located on the grounds of the former Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado. Harmony Angels Foundation in Brighton, Colorado works with Fisher House to provide goods and services for those who stay at Fisher House. Items needed are as follows: Gift cards for restaurants or grocery stores; copier paper, pens and pencils, note pads; green cleaning supplies (all items must be in original sealed packaging).
A King Soopers card can be purchased at Harmony Angels Foundation for $25.00. The card is used like a gift card, however when you go to the Customer Service desk at King Soopers, the card can be ‘reloaded’ and used again. Why not purchase one for yourself and one for Fisher House? This is a win-win situation for all.
Donations are being accepted at 441 South 7th Avenue, Brighton, CO 80601. Checks can be made payable to ‘Fisher House’ and sent to Harmony Angels Foundation at the above address.
