United Power Board Selects New Leadership

Following an annual meeting election that seated three new board members, United Power’s board of directors selected their leadership for the 2009-2010 year.  The new board president is David I. Dunnell, from the East District, who replaces Richard McLean who was not re-elected to the board. Vice-President will be filled by Rick Newman of the Mountain District, who previously served as Secretary-Treasurer to the board. Virginia Buczek, from the West District was elected to the position of Secretary-Treasurer, and Lewis Foster, also from the West District, will serve as Assistant Secretary-Treasurer.

Three board members were also selected as the cooperative’s representative to key partner organizations of United Power.  Jim Jaeger, from our South District and who served as the board’s Vice President last year, will be United Power’s representative to our statewide organization, the Colorado Rural Electric Association. Doug Pryce, from the Mountain District, will be our representative for the Tri-State Generation and Transmission board. Dave Dunnell, our current President, will also be our representative to the Western United board of directors.
