Electrical Service For New Subdivision Construction

While filling out the above application, please remember to attached any site plans and CAD files. Please fill out and submit Landbase App for any CAD files. Once submitted, a project manager/coordinator will review your request and create a work/design order. Please allow up to 20 business days for the design and cost letter to be sent out. (Note: A coordinator may request a pre-design meeting.)

Payment for services will need to be made up front.

Once payment has been received, a Right of Way (ROW) review can begin, if necessary. Once complete, the work order is assigned and scheduled by Operations. United Power will schedule a precon, and construction will be scheduled at the precon.

Upon completion of construction, an electrician-installed meter housing will need to be inspected by the city and/or county. Secondary line is brought to United Power's transformer by an electrician. United Power will provide the meter housing and CTs.

After inspection, a meter release is sent to United Power and forwarded to Operations. It may take between 2-10 business days for meters to be set.

Homebuilder EV Wiring Rebate

To increase the accessibility of charging options for electric vehicles, United Power will provide direct rebates to homebuilders when the electrical infrastructure for EV charging is included in new home construction.

“Make-ready” wiring means that all necessary electrical infrastructure - including all conduit and wire - is pulled to the station location and a NEMA 14-50 outlet is installed to operate a Level 2/240 volt electric vehicle charging station.

The NEMA 14-50 outlet should be installed in the garage, ground-side-up, and in a location accessible to a charging station mount and parked vehicle.

All electrical must adhere to NEC and local electrical codes and pass final inspection. Rebates processed once inspection release is received by United Power.
