To assist members who were struggling to pay bills due to job loss or illness, United Power established the Co-op Cares fund. Funded with unclaimed capital credits, it was designed to assist members affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. In two years, the Co-op Cares Fund provided $550,000 in direct assistance to 3,004 members facing financial hardships due to the pandemic.
