Updated SATURDAY, March 14 at 1:45 p.m.

⚡United Power crews, assisted by contract utility crews and tree trimming crews continue to clear downed trees, make repairs, and slowly restore service. There is extensive damage across the system. Each meter that is out of power requires hours of repair work.

Crews will continue to work today as long as weather conditions allow. Weather forecasts are increasingly confident about high winds and high fire danger due to warm temps and low humidity.

⚠️ United Power is NOT preemptively shutting off power to members and Xcel has confirmed they will not shut off transmission service to United Power’s system; however, UNPLANNED OUTAGES are possible, and restoration after another high-wind event will take significant time.

Please prepare now to keep yourself safe and comfortable overnight.

United Power crews and contract crews returned to the mountain service territory at 6:30 a.m. this morning to continue inspections and restoration efforts for members who remain without power.

Crews are prioritizing the southeast portion of the mountain territory this morning, while additional United Power and contract crews continue working to restore service to scattered outages across the region.

We are closely monitoring weather conditions and will provide updates as needed, as Red Flag Warnings may take effect today. High winds and warm, dry conditions are expected to continue throughout the day, and weather-related outages remain possible across the territory.

Members are encouraged to stay prepared for potential outages. Visit www.unitedpower.com/ready for preparedness tips and resources.

We appreciate the patience and understanding of our members as crews continue working to safely restore service.
