United Power lost power in the mountain territory at approximately 12:45 p.m., currently all mountain area members are without power. Due to wind conditions and safety protocols to restore power, restoration will be lengthy. The cause of these outages is due to high winds over 100+ mph. Road closures and high winds are causing difficult driving conditions. United Power and contract crews are assembling and ready to respond when winds die down.

Members in our mountain district are experiencing outages due to high winds. The outages began at 11:45 a.m., and due to safety settings on the system, full line inspections will be required before power can be restored. Crews are on the way to begin inspections when conditions are safe enough.
