United Power hosts first Customer Appreciation Day, a member event held each summer to provide entertainment and energy education. As communities grew and began to host their own summer festivals, United Power stopped hosting Customer Appreciation Day and redirected the funds to the various community events through the territory.

United Power establishes Operation Round Up at the cooperative. The Foundation's board met for the first time in December 1994 before the program was rolled out to members the following year. Members contribute by “rounding up” their electric bills and the funds are used to help cooperative members facing hardship.

The United Power Fort Lupton office opens on Denver Ave. The office was established to honor the promise to have a local presence in the Platte Valley region after acquiring new members in territory trade agreements with Public Service Company of Colorado.

Union Rural Electric Association changes its name to United Power, leaving behind the image of the small, rural cooperative. The new name came with a promise to grow into the future and become the utility of choice in the communities it now serves.
