New ERA The Empowering Rural America (New ERA) program helps rural Americans transition to clean, affordable, and reliable energy. By reducing air and water pollution, New ERA funding improves health outcomes and lower energy costs for people in rural communities. New ERA program funding is available to member-owned rural electric cooperatives, which have been the backbone of America’s rural power delivery for nearly a century. United Power was among 16 utilities announced as a finalist for the New ERA program through the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Utilities Service in September. The cooperative was one of just two distribution cooperatives selected in the first round — along with CORE Electric, which is also located in Colorado — out of more than 150 proposals. United Power is eligible to receive up to $261 million to help offset part of the costs for seven projects the cooperative submitted for consideration in its application.06/02/2021 - 04:43 PM

Operation Round-Up Small Change Can Change A Life Operation Round Up is a voluntary United Power program where members elect to have their monthly billing statement rounded up to the next whole dollar. Money collected through the program is used to provide assistance to community organizations within the cooperative's service territory. The average donation from members is only $.50 each billing cycle. That small change adds up quickly. Operation Round Up celebrated 25 years in 2020, and since its inception, the program has returned more than $2 million to individuals, families, and charitable groups. Operation Round Up also accepts one-time donations. Make check donations out to the United Power Round Up Foundation and mail to: United Power Round Up Foundation 500 Cooperative Way Brighton, CO 8060302/23/2022 - 10:57 AM
